Positions Within ITEM Software: JAVA PROGRAMMERS

Our UK office is currently looking for Java programmers to develop an Eclipse based RCP application.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 4 years Java programming experience, capable of following established development standards, and has experiences with Eclipse based design and development. A significant portion of the programmer's time would be spent designing and coding Eclipse plugins.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong experience in Java development, ideally large projects
Strong experience in Eclipse based RCP application development
Strong experience with MFC coding
Knowledge about GEF, EMF, GMF
XML and related XML technologies (DTD, Schema, XSL)
Experience with Subversion version control software
Ability to work in a world-wide team environment
Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities
Strong communication skills
Ability to perform successfully with limited supervision
Strong problem solving and decision-making.

Other Skills Desired:

Experience in C++ programming
Knowledge of reliability and risk assessment
Knowledge of Ant
